Analyst (Junior Consultant)

Part team facilitator and project manager, part subject matter expert and general expert communicator (with a wide variety of people), consulting requires a demanding and professional skill set.

Consultants (with or without some relevant industry experience) start their career development as Analysts supporting the consulting project-team delivery through the provision of research, analysis and wide collaboration to work out and evaluate our client’s specific business issues.

The profile of our Analysts requires that you are:

  • Skilled at analysing data to identify essential information and draw valuable conclusions
  • An articulate and clear communicator who can distil important information
  • An excellent problem solver
  • Interested in and have a fundamental knowledge of the energy industry
  • Have a keen intellectual curiosity and a great learning aptitude
  • Entrepreneurial minded with a clear commercial point of view
  • Willing to contribute to winning projects through business development and growing client relationships

In exchange, we can guide you and develop you to work on and learn about some of the most challenging, capital intensive and commercially innovative gas and LNG projects in the world today. By working through our structured development path, successful Analysts in our team will develop the experience and skills needed to become industry Consultants.

You will need to have a relevant (2.1 equivalent) Bachelor's degree and you will likely have 1 or 2 years experience in a similar role  from another consultancy practice, possibly a financial institution or the energy industry itself. If you dont have direct experience then you will need to demonstrate the the aptitude and capability to learn and grow into the professional skills set described above and will ideally have some form of exposure to the industry from relevant internships.

To make a strong case for yourself you will need to demonstrate your credentials through a well-presented CV and a covering letter. If you are invited to an interview you will be expected to prove your problem solving ability through testing on one of our case studies.
