Egypt has awarded six blocks covering areas in the Gulf of Suez and Western Sahara to six international companies.
Winners in the latest tender, first announced in May, included Shell, BP and US duo Apache Corporation and Apex International Energy, the Egyptian oil ministry said in a statement late last week.
