Galileo to tap stranded gas in Vaca Muerta with mobile LNG trailer networks

Argentine gas technology outfit Galileo Technologies is planning to expand its network of mobile liquefaction trailer units called Cryobox to the Vaca Muerta shale play, following deployment of 14 units to feed to a power generation plant in the country's Mendoza province.

The Buenos Aires-based company is sending the LNG production stations to several orphan wells distributed throughout the Malargüe region of Mendoza. The wells lie about 500 km away from Anchoris, where Finnish manufacturer Wärtsilä is building a 40 MW smart power generation plant.
