Sempra Energy subsidiary Southern California Gas (SoCalGas) has requested regulatory approval to resume injections from approved wells at its Aliso Canyon gas storage facility, which was at the centre of the worst gas leak in US history earlier this year.
Running parallel to the request, SoCalGas has submitted a report on all 114 wells at the storage facility, addressing the requirements of California state’s comprehensive safety review.
