TransCanada is set to invest USD 2 billion to expand its NOVA Gas Transmission system (NGTL) that connects western Canadian natural gas production to key markets within the basin and across North America.
The company attributed the expansion, expected to begin in the first quarter of 2019, to increased production growth in the Montney, Duvernay and Deep Basin basins, driving demand in north-east British Columbia and northwest Alberta for transportation capacity on the network.
