The latest tender for gas and oil blocks in the US Gulf of Mexico this week attracted bids from three companies. Meanwhile, Mexican authorities have qualified over 25 separate firms to participate in tenders in that country’s section of the gulf later this year.
The US sale held garnered 24 bids in the Western Gulf of Mexico worth a collective total of USD 18 million for around 6% of the total 23.8 million acres offered, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) said this week.
