The 16.5 mtpa Yamal LNG export project in central north Russia has agreed a credit package with Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo for EUR 750 million (roughly USD 800 million) to fund the construction of the liquefaction plant.
The 14.5-year package includes two credit lines of the EUR 400 million and EUR 300 million guaranteed by Italian export credit agency SACE and French counterpart COFACE, Intesa Sanpaolo said in a statement this week.
