Interruptible Gas
Gas made available under agreements permitting the supplier to terminate, or interrupt deliveries, usually for a limited number of days in a specific period. Usually sold at a reduced price and used to boost sales/transportation in slack seasons (normally the summer). Important in load balancing because (by reducing gas demand) it is an alternative to using stored gas. The converse of Interruptible Gas is Firm Gas.
