The Greek-flagged vessel ‘Maran Gas Apollonia’ made history this week, becoming the first LNG carrier to transit the newly-expanded Panama Canal, the Panama Canal Authority (APC) said on Monday.
The 161,000 cm carrier was heading to China from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG export plant in Louisiana, according to shipping data.
