The Norwegian Oil and Gas Authority has set a target to cut CO2 emission from oil and gas operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf by 2.5 million tonnes per year (mtpa) by 2030 on 2020 levels, the association said this week.
The association said the goal would be achieved through efficiency measures, electrification of offshore platforms and carbon capture and storage.
