Finnish technology firm Wartsila has agreed to develop a 100 MW turnkey gas and fuel oil power plant in Argentina, bringing its total installed gas-compatible generation capacity in the country to nearly 500 MW.
The estimated EUR 75 million (USD 79 million) Piedra Buena plant will be delivered to Argentine utility Pampa Energia near the city of Bahia Blanca south of Buenos Aires and is due to be commissioned next year.
