Malta’s floating storage unit (FSU), the 125,000 cm Armada LNG Mediterrana, has received its maiden cargo, making the southern European island the first country this year to start importing chilled gas.
The Shell-operated LNG carrier Galea arrived at Fort Delimara in the village of Marsaxlokk on the southeast coast on Wednesday and was still unloading on Thursday afternoon, according to ship tracking website Vessel Finder.
