Alberta-based energy infrastructure company Veresen has brought its long-in-the-tooth Jordan Cove LNG project back to life with a major redesign that has received an initial nod from regulators.
Veresen boosted plant capacity by 1.8 mtpa to 7.8 mtpa and scrapped a 420 MW power plant that was proposed adjacent to the LNG facility, located in Coos Bay, Oregon. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has seemingly had a change of heart and accepted the new blueprints for a pre-filing review.
