US president Donald Trump’s administration is rolling back regulation that requires companies drilling for oil and gas on federal land to disclose the chemicals used in hydraulic fracking processes.
The Interior Department will reportedly start drawing up new procedures, which will succeed the 2015 regulation imposed by Barack Obama’s administration, later this year. The move is in line with president Trump’s pledge to cut back on red tape for US businesses.
