An Italian court has accepted a request by the regional government of Puglia to prevent the removal of olive trees in the path of the already-delayed Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), a key link in the Southern Gas Corridor.
TAP commercial and external affairs director Ulrike Andres told Gas Matters Today that TAP had temporarily halted the removal and transportation work of olive trees following the decision. "We are doing everything in our power to ensure the already uprooted olive trees on site remain safe and healthy," he said.
