Egypt has started diverting LNG cargoes away from the regasification terminal at Ain Sokhna, amid resurgent domestic gas production that is quelling demand for more expensive liquefied imports.
Two cargoes heading for the port of Ain Sokhna were diverted away to other destinations in recent days, sources told Gas Matters Today, as Egypt races towards a target of gas self-sufficiency by end-2018.
