Pat Wood III, the chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), believes that the New England gas market will need two new LNG terminals built by 2010. However, they may not have to be in the US, with proposed Canadian terminals a possible source of supply for the region. Wood's comments were reported by the Boston Globe.
