LNG supply was expected to build up rapidly in 2016. However delays in the commissioning of new trains and unscheduled interruptions to production at operating trains resulted in growth of 1.67 mt (2.6%) in the first quarter of 2016. Gas Strategies reviews LNG supply and demand in Q1 ’16 and the outlook for the rest of the year.
