Germany’s coalition government has agreed to ban hydraulic fracturing in the country, but still supports test drilling in regions that decide to permit it, according to reports this week.
The agreement to ban fracking indefinitely was reached on Tuesday, but the German parliament must still approve the law before it comes into force, news sources said.
