Jamaica has joined the ranks of new LNG importing states like Finland and Poland following the arrival of the Golar Arctic floating storage unit (FSU) at the port of capital city Kingston.
The vessel loaded by New Fortress Energy arrived on Friday and will supply the recently converted 120 MW power plant in Bogue near Montego Bay in the north-west, local utility Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) said.
