Exxon Mobil’s 6.9 mtpa Papua Guinea LNG (PNG LNG) export project is still operating, despite protests outside the plant threatening to disrupt business, the company told Gas Matters Today on Tuesday evening.
Protesters have gathered outside the gates of the plant in opposition to alleged delays to royalty payments they claim are due to local landowners. Some reports suggest that activists have attempted to block the site’s entrance.
