Morocco’s hopes of kick-starting a larger domestic natural gas market could be realised by the end of the decade, as UK-based explorer Sound Energy confirmed on Friday that it plans to produce first gas at its Tendrara permit by 2019.
Sound Energy has already drilled two exploratory wells at the prospect, located on Morocco’s border with Algeria, with both wells yielding net gas pay of 28 metres.
