German utility E.ON posted net losses of EUR 9.3 billion (USD 10 billion) for the first three quarters of this year, down more than 60% compared to last year, owing largely to impairment charges.
The EUR 6.1 billion (USD 6.6 billion) impairment relates to decommissioning nuclear capacity, which now falls under the remit of Uniper, which listed publicly in September.
