The Nord Stream 2 pipeline project from Russia to Germany is on track to obtain all necessary permits by next year and begin construction in 2018, finance director Paul Corcoran said at the European Autumn Gas Conference (EAGC) in the Hague on Wednesday.
Reports suggest that financing has proved difficult for developers of the 55 Bcm/year subsea line, but Corcoran said no delays have occurred and the project remains on schedule to come on-stream in 2019.
