Argentina’s government has sealed a deal with energy companies and labour unions to help attract greater investment in the country’s largest shale formation, Vaca Muerta, much of which is located in the central west province of Neuquen.
Under the agreement, the government is to reintroduce a subsidised price of USD 7.50/MMBtu for gas production at the play until 2020.
