The UK government, through its international credit agency UK Export Finance (UKEF), will provide USD 400 million to support a GE Oil & Gas contract to build production systems for the offshore Cape Three Points project in Ghana.
This marks the first-ever direct loan from UKEF to an African project and the first time a European export credit agency has engaged in a financing structure of this kind, the body said in a statement.
