Sri Lanka is returning to market to find a developer for the country’s maiden two gas and condensate discoveries that were abandoned by a previous licencee in 2015.
The government is inviting expressions of interest in the M2 gas-condensate block that spans 2,924 sq km off the island’s northwest coast. The M2 'mini-tender' is a forerunner to a larger international licensing round slated for Q4 this year.
