Home to the world’s eighth largest population, a growing economy and existing gas infrastructure, Bangladesh has all the ingredients to become a major LNG importer. Wishing to offset the decline in its domestic gas supply and with no international gas pipeline links progressing, the South Asian nation has an ambitious LNG strategy, with four regas projects currently proposed for development in the southeast of the country.
