ConocoPhillips is planning a long-term shut-in at its nearly 50-year old Kenai LNG plant in Alaska this coming winter due to the current low-price environment, with the US company still searching for someone to buy the ageing liquefaction facility.
“The reduced operations will focus on continued preservation of the facilities for future LNG exports,” a ConocoPhillips spokesperson said.
