Construction delays to two US LNG projects could come as a welcome surprise to the LNG market, giving it time to absorb the mounting glut of LNG, according to industry experts.
Start-up of the Sempra Energy-led Cameron LNG facility in Louisiana has been pushed back from 2018 to 2019, while the construction status of the Texas-based Freeport LNG project remains unclear, with EPC contractor Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) noting a delay related to the construction of the first train at the facility.
