The LNG sector was hit hard this week as companies suspended vessels from travelling via the Red Sea, following attacks by the Iran-backed Houthis.
Meanwhile, BP's pension scheme dispute hit parliament via a Westminster Hall debate initiated by MP for Orkney and Shetland Alistair Carmichael. Undersecretary for pensions Paul Maynard agreed to discuss BP’s scheme with the pension regulator.
The UK supermajor also appointed its fulltime CEO this week as former CFO and interim chief Murray Auchincloss stepped in to the role.
