According to Sandra Roche-Vu Quang, CEO of French LNG terminal operator Elengy, a net-zero horizon presents Europe with a tough challenge, as it will require the import of decarbonised energy from beyond the continent’s shores. While the ideal vector for doing so remains a matter of debate, regas terminals continue to evolve, she says, becoming LNG hubs for a variety of services that respond to everchanging customer needs. Having shipped its first ever ISO container with LNG via rail to Italy, Elengy has set its eyes on new solutions, such as bio-LNG, wishing to position itself as a leader in the nascent clean energy field, Roche-Vu Quang tells LNG Business Review.
